Selected kit

Search or scan a kit code, then pick a result — it opens in the Manual kit builder below. Use Separate only to list semi-permanent kit types.

Manual kit + instrument BOM builder

Search above to load an existing kit for editing, or create a new tray manually. Save updates the kit BOM in the database.
Parent tray + BOM — save after editing kit details or instrument lines.
Optional home shelf for this kit. New packed assemblies inherit this slot; child kits inherit the parent when blank.
Enter the parent tray once. Set Child kits to automatically create inherited kits such as Ortho Kit -01 and -02 from the same BOM. Separate kits are standalone trays — use Semi-permanent labels to create numbered instances and print UID labels.
Child kit preview will appear here when Child kits is greater than 0.
Enter Position, Instrument, Quantity, optional Manufacturer, and Manufacturer code. Existing instruments are reused automatically on exact match; close matches can be selected from the Match column.

Pack kit on screen

Pack a child kit or a standalone kit (parent with no children). Parent trays that have child kits must be packed via their child kits (-01, -02, …). Each save creates one or more assembly UIDs for steriliser loading.

Child kits and standalone kits (no child kits). Parent trays with children cannot be packed here — use their child kit codes.
Ready — scan or search, then click Pack.

Packed queue

Each packed assembly receives its own UID and appears here until its lifecycle moves forward elsewhere in the app. Click a row to view what was packed and reprint the pack list or UID label.

Decontam

Scan an assembly UID to end its lifecycle in decontam. Superseded or decontaminated assemblies cannot be used in packing, sterilisation, stock, or OR picking. The only other exit from sterile processing is put-away to a stock location.

Steriliser loads

Create or select a load → add packed assembly UIDs from the queue (checkbox, Add, or scan). After Save load, reopen it any time by scanning any assembly UID on that load, filtering by steriliser and date, or searching load number. Advance the whole load through loaded → sterilized → released.

Packed queue (assemblies not on a load)

Assemblies older than 5 days are removed from the queue automatically and appear under Reports → Packed queue purge.
Scan an assembly UID to find its load or add kits when a load is open for scanning.
Scan a slot 000.000.000.000 or pick a location, then scan assembly UIDs (or load number for all). Only sterile complete kits can be distributed.

Scanned on this load

Add kits from the packed queue (checkbox or scan). Remove with checkbox, Remove, or scan the UID again. Full assembly detail is under Administration → Audit.

Quarantine queue

Biological (Qten) loads in quarantine or quarantine_complete — after a passing cycle. Select a row for Qten entry on the right. Use Open load to jump to Sterilisation with that load, or change Status on the line.
Select a facility in Configuration, then open this tab.

Distribute

Put sterile-complete assemblies to stock (from steriliser loads) or move assemblies already in stock. Scan a slot 000.000.000.000 or location UID in the scan field to set target — then scan assembly UIDs. Use Set for stock take: unscanned items still at that slot move to area-only (area.000.000.000).

Recall search

Trace assemblies by UID, kit, steriliser load, patient, or stock location. Patient is for OR case allocation only; Location is pack station, steriliser load, or stock slot.

Today's OR schedules

Cases scheduled for today from HL7 SUI messages. Select a case to pick preference-card kits to a case cart or directly to the OR.

Case picking — preference card

Select a case, then scan each assembly UID to tick off preference-card requirements. Pick to a case cart or directly to the OR — case cart is optional.

Preference cards

Link a procedure and surgeon to a parent kit. Card matches help book the right instrument set for the case.

HL7 intake log

Messages received from the local HL7 REST interface (PID patient updates and SUI OR bookings).

Stock Management

Sterile assembly inventory (child-kit assemblies only). Each row is one UID — use Location for shelf / store and Patient when allocated to a case. Update patient and location from Configuration → Audit (open assembly).

Stock locations

Create Case cart, Specialty cart, Stock location, Operating Room, or Work Station records. Slot format is area.row.shelf.bin (three digits each, e.g. 000.000.000.000). Each location gets its own auto-generated UID (e.g. LOC-FAC-000001). On Sterilisation, select a location and scan kits off the load to assign them here (lifecycle → distributed).

GI Lab

GI Lab workflow placeholder for procedure-ready kits, turnaround status, and area-specific handling.

Catalogue

Browse kits, separate (semi-permanent) kits, and the instrument catalogue for the selected facility. Open a kit to edit it in Configuration, or view its BOM here.
Select a facility, then Search / Refresh.

Maintenance control

Open a child kit or tray for maintenance, remove it from Packing, capture repair details, then close maintenance to return it to service. This mirrors the manual workflow: scan/search, confirm out of service, enter repair details, optional costs/docs, and close to reset the maintenance counter.

Kit maintenance setup

Per the manual, each tray can keep a maintenance counter, a warning threshold, and a current remaining-use value configured against the tray record.

Open maintenance

Scan the container barcode / child kit UID or type the tray name, then confirm taking it out of service so it can no longer be packed.

Select an open maintenance record.

Steriliser types

Create steriliser types, then define the cycle types available for each type.

Cycle types for selected steriliser type

Examples: Prevac 134, EO standard, Flash, Leak Test. Mark Biological (Qten) Required on cycle types that need quarantine — this applies to any steriliser running that cycle, not per steriliser or kit.

Sterilisers

Create sterilisers or select an existing one to update settings (prefix, span / reset point, last batch sequence, kit location). Allocate cycle types from the list below.

Reports & analytics

Filter by facility and date range. Charts and tables use captured workflow events (pack, sterilise, distribute, OR case pick). New activity is recorded from now on; older rows may have limited turnaround data.

Label products

Roll types allocated to the facility on Configuration. System Admin sign-in required.

Facility default label printer (fallback)

Optional facility-wide default when a user/station has not saved a printer yet. Normal packing uses user + pack station settings from Print setup.

Facility packing mode

Per-facility setting (uses facility selected on Configuration). When enabled, packing requires a SER/SPDL scan for every assembly and does not consume SER/OS labels. Packers do not see this control — only scan behaviour changes.

SER/OS — assembly label rolls

Ship a roll of 3750 assembly label numbers to the facility. Used when packing with auto-generated assembly UIDs (facilities with label printing). Each packed assembly consumes 1 SER/OS label. Optional SER/SPDL scan at pack uses the SPDL as assembly UID and also consumes 1 SER/OS label. Missing-instrument ZPL sheets also consume SER/OS labels. Remove returns only unused labels to stock; consumed labels stay on record.

SER/SPDL — preprinted label rolls

Deliver preprinted rolls of 500 labels. Each roll’s range is fixed when printed in SER/SPDL Print (4-up, 500 per physical roll). When a customer receives a roll, scan any label on that roll to register the known manufacturing range at the facility. Each roll can only be registered once. Remove returns only unused labels; consumed labels stay on record and the roll can be re-registered elsewhere if needed.
Global print generator last UID: — (SER/SPDL Print tab only)

SER/CBL1000 — semi-permanent kit labels

Roll size 1000. Print Separate kit UID labels under Configuration → Semi-permanent labels. Each printed kit is tracked per facility.

SER/TAGIT260 — TAGIT labels Coming soon

Loads 260 TAGIT labels into the facility for use in the TAGIT UI (not yet built). Labels consumed as used in that workflow.

SER/SPDL label print (4-up)

Print biological SER/SPDL labels using the ZPL 4-up generator. Each generate run records 500-label roll ranges for facility registration. Facility rolls are registered separately by scanning any label on the physical roll. Start zpl_lan_print_server.py on port 8787 first.
